The Snom OCS edition
For Microsoft's® Office Communication Server 2007 R2 & Lync
The snom OCS Edition firmware (snom Open Communication Solution Edition) is an optional software module for the snom 300 and snom 821, enabling them to connect directly and natively to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Microsoft Lync.
It combines the advantages of open standards-based IP telephony by using the SIP protocol to seamlessly integrate with Microsoft ® Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Lync and any other SIP based IP PBX in parallel.
Currently the snom 300 and snom 821 are qualified as Microsoft ® Office Communications Server 2007 R2 client and compatible with Microsoft Lync Server 2010.
Lync Server 2010 is forward compatible with products qualified for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, excluding Lync 2010 new features.

Overview of the Features
All these features are available in all business scenarios: internal, remote and federated Enterprise Voice calls:
- snom OCS edition phones can operate standalone to make and receive calls
- Can work with or without a PC
- Register up to four/ twelve OCS/Lync or standard SIP based accounts/lines on the same phone
- Dual-SIP-stack provides soft migration into Lync or auto failover onto a SIP based switch/PBX
- Wall mountable
- Supports auto provisioning via HTTP, HTTPS, and TFTP and remote management via TR-069
- Publishing of the device presence status, like “in a call, DND, etc”
- additionally includes full standard feature set of snom 300 and snom 821

- SNOM-870 - Beta Firmware Available
- SNOM-821 - Officially qualified for Microsoft ® OCS 2007 R2 client and compatible with Lync Server 2010.
- SNOM-370 - Beta Firmware Available
- SNOM-320 - Beta Firmware Available
- SNOM-300 - Officially qualified for Microsoft ® OCS 2007 R2 client and compatible with Lync Server 2010.
