IP-67 Managed Fast Ethernet Industrial Switch, 8x 10/100Mbps M12 PortsThe Whale Series WME-867-M12 is a highly reliable and robust Industrial 8-port Managed Ethernet Switch with IP-67 housing and M12 connectors. A member of Ethernet Direct Whale Series of IP-67 rated M12 Inductrial switches, model WME-867-M12 guarantees total protection and can withstand a variety of extreme conditions such as high temperature, extreme shock, vibration, dust particles, oil or even liquid immersion. WME-867-M12 is designed for the toughest applications and can be mounted directly to any machine or convenient flat surface.
Whale Series Industrial M12 switches are offered in two basic formats: managed and unmanged. Within these subsets of the series, individual models feature different port configurations: eight M12 connecter 10/100Base-TX ports only; eight M12 10/100Base-TX ports plus M12 connector Multimode fibre optic ports; eight M12 10/100Base-TX ports plus M12 connector Singlemode fibre optic ports. Models with fibre optic ports provide up to 30Kms range via LC connectors.
Unmanaged Whale Series M12 switches offer a highly cost-effective solution where 100Base-TX and/or 100Base-FX connectivity is required in the most extreme environments.
Managed Whale Series M12 switches offer a suite of advanced features. All three managed models can be remotely configured by a web browser and managed by SNMP and RMON. Advanced security features such as VLAN and IP Security are supported, while performance is optimised by functions such as QoS (Quality of Service) and IGMP snooping and querying. With it's Fault Tolerant X-Ring mechanism fail over from failed links or failed ports can be achieved with 10ms at full load.
