Single Mode Fibre (SC) SNMP Converter with LFP. 5KmFast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Fibre Optic Managed Media Converter. Models available in ST and SC Termination as well as Multimode, Single Mode and WDM variations upto 60Km.
The RC-2002Bxx series of Managed Media Converters is designed to convert from 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Fast Ethernet. The RC-2002Bxx family support a wide range of model options including MultiMode, Singlemode and WDM (Wave Division Multiplexing). WDM enables network connectivity over a single core of SingleMode fibre, rather than the usual separate send and receive paired cores.
The Converters support various remote monitoring and maintenance features including: Web based (HTTP) management, Telnet management for CLI applications and Local RS-232 Console connectivity. An integrated SNMP Agent can also provide mission critical alert information via SNMP Traps, any standard SMTP email server, or via SMS notification services. Trap events can be customised to suit your particular applications needs.
For applications like FTTH/FTTX (Fibre to The Home and Fibre To Anywhere), the RC-2002Bxx can be used to manage data throughput levels with the device's "Rate Control" function - This allows allocation of bandwidth based on 1Mbps increments. Rate control enables delivery of guaranteed Customer Service Levels down to the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) end point.
The RC-2002Bxx series supports cables ranges up to 60 kilometres. All models share a rich feature set, including case intrusion, power voltage and temperature detection, external loop-back capability, broadcast storm filtering, detection of single fibre disconnection, user login management, TFTP on-line upgrade, and many other features.
Note: WDM models must be used as a pair, ie. RC-2002BS5.S20 must be used with RC-2002BS3.S20 (or equivalent WDM device)
