AMPE-17B 802.11B Bi Directional Amplifier for External use, N type Female connector, 17 dBm gain

The AMPE-17B is a 500mW bi-directional Power Amplifier for 2.4Ghz wireless LAN applications. It is designed fro outdoor usage, being a 2 part product: Power Injector and Amplifier. The Power injector is implemented beside the Access Point, and its purpose is to combine both the RF and Power into the coaxial cable. The Amplifier section is located with the antenna, usually in a roof space, or on the antenna mounting bracket. The Amplifier section removes the DC power, and provides signal amplification. The AMPE-17B works together to improve the operational range and performance of your Access Point. The unit is ideal for use with 2.4GHz frequency Hopping or Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum radio devices. The Amplifier increases the range by providing transition gain as well as low-noise receiver gain. Full output power of 500mW is achieved with only 5mW input into the amplifier. Note: Amplifier is supplied to fit onto a SMA type Access point. N-Type Cable is not supplied with this Kit, and must be purchased separately.
